Silicon Metal Grain
Silicon metal grains are produced by crushing and sieving different grades of Silicon metal, and have the advantages of uniform grain size, good heat resistance performance, and high electrical resistivity. The grain sizes of silicon metal are mainly 1mm-3mm, 3mm-5mm, and 5mm-10mm. To meet various applications, XLS Metals can customize silicon metal grains with different grain sizes.
Processing Of Silicon Metal Grains
Before processing silicon metal grains, it is necessary to select high-grade silicon metal according to the grade of silicon metal specified in the order. This is because impurities such as debris and dust may be mixed into the silicon metal grains during the crushing process, resulting in a decrease in purity. To meet user requirements, higher-grade silicon metal is usually used for processing.
The selected silicon metal is then sieved by machine and by hand. The main purpose of this process is to remove impurities and contaminants from the silicon metal and to minimize the effects of impurities during processing.
The sieved silicon metal is then crushed using high-precision crushing machinery and passed through a pre-set mesh size sieve. The silicon metal grains of the appropriate size pass through the sieve, and those that do not are returned to be reprocessed. The processed silicon metal grains are packed into ton bags by a conveyor.
