High Carbon Silicon , another name is H C Silicon . It is the by-product of Silicon metal, and main element are Si and C , balance are S , P, SiO2. The main markets for high carbon silicon are steelmaking, foundry and aluminium industries. In recent years, the demand for high carbon silicon has been rising year on year, and due to the rising cost of steelmaking and other industries, high carbon silicon is favoured by many metallurgical manufacturers because of its lower price than ferrosilicon and silicon metal, and by using high carbon silicon for production, manufacturers can save up to 30% of their costs and effectively improve product quality.
In the process of producing Silicon metal, temperature is not enough to adequately smelting the raw material of Silicon metal in the bottom .After a long time of accumulation , there will be the by- product High carbon silicon .
